Thing Fabrics Short-Sleeve T-Shirt is crafted in a truly special Imabari toweling fabric rarely used in apparel. Done in a short pile Imabari reminiscent of terry cloth, but softer, lighter, and with its own unique character, this top features a relaxed boxy fit with dropped shoulders and a straight hem with side slits.
We fell in love with Imabari on a trip to Japan, where at a store in Tokyo, we were presented the card of an Imabari sommelier of all things. Excited by how seriously this special fabric was taken in Japan, complete with rigorous certification and protected usage of the word Imabari itself, we dove in, brought home our first set, and haven’t looked back from Imabari since.
