Jil Sander Man
Often referred to as fashion’s first feminist for her dignified and professional women's workwear, Jil Sanders has been a staple in the fashion industry since the 1960s. The Queen of Less is rooted in the German Bauhaus movement with designs that are minimalist, clearly structured, reduced to the essentials, and encouraging of movement. For her men’s collection, the designer says she is fascinated by the importance of the interior of men’s clothing, appreciating the little secrets clothes can hold.
Husband and wife creative team, Lucie and Luke Meier, are now the creative heads of the Jil Sander brand, debuting their first collection at the helm of Jil Sander for Spring/Summer 2018. The designers bring a fresh, bold take on the streamlined yet sophisticated "cool" associated with the brand.
