Astier de Villatte's Glass Candle in Stockholm is rooted in the interlaced lanes and cobblestones in this pastel and ochre old city hiding the secret address of the famous Swedish Bitters Elixir. King Gustav II would give it to his Viking warriors to render them invincible. An inebriating mixture of wild plants, clove, lavandin, myrrh, vetiver and clary sage escapes from the bottle.

Founders Benoît Astier de Villatte and Ivan Pericoli have been making unique lifestyle pieces in Paris for fifteen years. Their signature ceramics, candles, and glassware are all handmade in an antique Bastille workshop that originally housed Napolean's silversmith. Best known for their 18th- and 19th-century inspired black terra-cotta pottery, Astier de Villatte's team hand makes each piece in a traditional style that has been passed down through generations.
