Inspired by an embroidered quilt from the 1890s-1920s, Bode's Field Maple Trouser features a reproduction of the embroidery pattern of the vintage quilt in tonal and contrasting couching, a needlework technique in which a cord is laid in patterns and secured with short, perpendicular stitches, and is finished with rickrack along the hem.
