Inspired by an ornate filet lace tablecloth from the early 20th century, Bode's Filet Filigree Shirt is a sublime effort at recreating the original with actual filet lace, a type of lace delicately embroidered over a fine mesh fabric. The original pattern is reproduced here on brown netting in embroidery floss with a subtle sheen.

Bode is a brand inspired by family histories and heirlooms. The designer Emily Bode and her team are based in Chinatown, New York, and opened their first retail concept shop in November 2019.
